Captain Alaa Ahmed Nagi

Captain Alaa Ahmed Nagi is Section Head – Port Operations Services at Kuwait Oil Company, leading port governance, marine asset certification, and operational readiness across KOC’s marine operations. His 28-year career runs from tanker watchkeeping through thirteen years of tug command in Kuwait Bay and offshore terminals, into marine oil spill emergency governance – serving as Zone Leader and On-Scene Commander and developing KOC’s Tier I-III contingency planning and mariner training architecture. Within KOC he has received CEO HSSE recognition for operational readiness, vessel command, and crew preparedness during the introduction of new OSRV assets, and Awarded at the Kuwait Marine Forum for the GO GREEN initiative, which delivered a sustained 14-19% reduction in tug fleet fuel consumption. He is the developer of MIRA.
