• Submitted abstract could be accepted for either Paper Presentation or e-Poster Presentation.
  • Paper Presentations/e-Poster Presentations for the conference will be evaluated and selected by the Conference Technical Committee.
  • Time limit of 15 minutes will be allocated to each paper Presenter, followed by 5 minutes Q&A.
  • The accepted abstracts will be informed to the main author to submit the presentation. A detailed guideline will be
    sent to the authors.
  • The selected presenters are requested to contact the Conference Technical Committee for any queries or clarifications.
  • Provide a short outline of the presentation for inclusion in the Conference Guide.
  • Make no substantive changes in the content, process, names, without the approval of Conference Technical Proceedings Committee.
  • Agree to have session on audio and video recorded to provide ongoing learning for conference participants unable to attend their sessions.
  • Agree to refrain from marketing their products or services through the presentations Share your knowledge, experience, skills, and creativity with the participants.
  • Please note that if accepted, your paper may be published, as submitted, in conference information media, including the Conference Proceedings (CD-ROM/ Flash drive) and on the ASSP Kuwait Chapter’s conference website.
  • ASSP – Kuwait Chapter assumes no obligation for expenses by authors for travel, lodging, food, or
    other incidental expenses.
  • Copyright: All authors of papers or e-posters presented at the conference will be required to complete and submit a copyright release form to ASSP-KC or submit the copyright exemption form where applicable.
  • In an effort to further improve ASSP’s technical quality standards, all submitted papers will be checked for plagiarism.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE E-POSTER PRESENTERS

1. An electronic poster (e-Poster) in PowerPoint format allowing the inclusion of short video clip, sounds and other multi-media formats, and presenters are encouraged to take advantage of the versatility of the medium.

2. All multi-media e-Posters will be presented at numbered monitors/ e-poster stations at the venue.

3. e-Poster presentations are 10/15 minutes in length, and authors/presenters must be available for discussion at an assigned time, and at assigned monitors/ stations.

4. In addition, conference attendees have access to all e-Posters on the monitors in time during the conference.

ABSTRACT FORMAT

  • Title of the Paper, Names of authors, email address of the communicating author (if more than one author is listed), contact number.
  • Objectives/Scope: List the objectives and/or scope of the proposed paper. (max 75 words).
  • Methodology: Briefly explain your overall approach, including your methods, procedures and process. (Max. 100 words).
  • Novel / Additive Information: Explain how this paper will present novel (new) or additive information to the existing body of literature that can be of benefit to and / or add to the state of knowledge in the Industry. (Max. 75 words).
  • Results / Observations / Conclusions: Describe the results, observations and conclusions of the proposed paper. (Max. 200 words).
  • The abstract shall summarise the overall content of the topic to be presented. The abstract should be between 225 to 450 words and written in English.

GUIDELINES FOR PAPER & E-POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • The paper should be new up to date and never presented in any of previous PDCs.
  • It should not be only a theoretical academic subject.
