Nachupally Ram Kumar

Nachupally Ram Kumar is an HSSE leader with 27 years in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry from front-line industrial fire and emergency response to executive-level crisis management and enterprise HSSE governance. As QHSSE Manager with Tariq Alghanim Contracting Company W.L.L. (ALMEN), he directs quality, health, safety, security, and environmental performance across Kuwait Petroleum Corporation oil sector projects for KIPIC, KNPC (Mina Abdullah), KAFCO, KOC, and EQUATE Petrochemicals. His remit spans process safety assurance, contractor HSSE management, emergency preparedness, risk assessment, incident investigation, and management system auditing.

His career began in national service with India’s Central Industrial Security Force, where he trained at the CISF Fire Service Training Institute and served as a fire prevention and control room officer. In the decades since, he has planned and executed major emergency exercises, contingency drills, shelter-in-place operations, and crisis simulations across the Kuwait oil sector.

A coach, mentor, and accredited trainer, he has guided a generation of HSSE practitioners and presented technical papers at international forums in Kuwait, Qatar, and India on process safety key performance indicators, HSSE management systems, and petrochemical safety. Most recently he served as speaker and Plenary Session Chair at the 12th ASSP Kuwait Chapter HSSE Loss Prevention and Professional Development Conference, 7–8 May 2025, Crowne Plaza, State of Kuwait.
