Dr. Adel Younis, PhD, P.Eng

Dr. Adel Younis, PhD, P.Eng., is currently working as an associate professor at Australian University (AU). He is a professional engineer in the province of British Columbia, Canada, and former research associate at both University of Victoria (UVic) and Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Canada. Dr. Younis has worked as testing engineer in oil and gas sectors with The Expro Group in Europe and North Africa. He has also worked as a lead project engineer on hydroelectric projects in British Columbia. Dr. Younis has taught mechanical engineering courses at UVic, SFU and currently at AU. Dr. Younis’ areas of research are machine design; optimization; mechanical vibrations; energy harvesting devices. He has published many research papers pertaining to design optimization; design automation, and renewable energy. He has more than 25 years of work, research, and teaching experience.
