Manal Abdulrahman Al-Asousi

Manal A. Al-Asousi – has had a varied career experience in private and government sectors, mainly in traditionally male-majority fields. She started her career in 2005 in the private sector as a manufacturing engineer in a pressure vessel manufacturing company, responsible for following the manufacturing processes of pressure vessels for the oil sector. In 2010, she joined Hyundai Engineering & Construction Company, an international Korean Company working for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Mega Project, as Quality Assurance Engineer.

Manal started serving Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) – as government oil sector – by mid-2012. Her role has evolved significantly in the last 7 years in various business areas. She has been instrumental in areas that include Maintenance Planning, Project Control and Costing & Planning. During these assignments, she led some of the largest initiatives in KNPC. She was promoted as Senior Engineer Costing & Planning at Quality Assurance Department in Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery during 2016, and since then she is responsible for managing capital projects from inception until completion.

Manal has the leadership ability, upward mobility and potential for advancement within Kuwait National Petroleum Company. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Kuwait University and Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Maastricht School of Management. Al-Asousi is the First Kuwaiti Certified as “Cost Professional” by The Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI).
